LILT BOOKS

Terms of Service

Last updated: November 6, 2026

These terms apply to Lilt Books, including the Lilt app, liltbooks.com, the reading and listening library, personal uploads, and Author Studio. William Galebach provides Lilt under the developer name Galebach Technologies. In these terms, “Lilt,” “we,” and “us” refer to this provider.

Read these terms before you use Lilt. By using Lilt, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. If you use Lilt for an organization, you must have permission to accept these terms for that organization.

Using Lilt

You may use Lilt to read and listen to books and to use the upload and audio features that are available to you. You must follow the laws that apply to your use. A book that is in the public domain in one country may still have copyright protection in another country. Check that you have the right to access and use each work in your location.

Do not sell or distribute Lilt’s software, artwork, or audio unless the rights holder permits this use or the law allows it. These terms do not restrict rights that you already have in public-domain works or under an open license.

Your account

Some features require an account. Provide accurate account information and protect your sign-in details. Do not use another person’s account without permission. Contact us if you believe that someone has used your account without permission.

If you are not old enough to enter an agreement under the law that applies to you, a parent or legal guardian must approve your use and accept these terms for you.

Your uploads and publishing rights

You keep your ownership rights in the material you upload. You must own the material or have the permissions needed to upload it and use the features you request. For audiobook generation, this includes the right to reproduce and adapt the work as audio and to use AI-generated narration.

You give Lilt permission to store, copy, process, convert, and deliver your uploads and generated files only as needed to provide the features you request. This permission includes the use of service providers for hosting and audio generation. It does not transfer your copyright to Lilt or give Lilt permission to sell your manuscript.

A personal upload does not grant other users a right to access it. If you choose a publishing or sharing feature, you must have permission to distribute the material to the audience you select. Do not upload material that infringes another person’s copyright, privacy, or other rights.

Generated audio and other output

AI-generated narration can contain errors, incorrect pronunciation, or omissions. Review generated output before you publish it or rely on it. Do not use the service to impersonate a person without permission or to create deceptive or unlawful material.

We do not promise that generated output is unique or that it qualifies for copyright protection. Your rights in the source material and the law that applies to you determine how you may use the output.

Acceptable use

Do not use Lilt to distribute unlawful material, malware, or spam. Do not attempt to access another user’s private files, bypass access controls, interfere with the service, or use automated requests that damage the service or prevent others from using it.

Privacy and account deletion

The Privacy Policy explains how Lilt handles personal information, uploads, and service providers. You can find account deletion instructions on the account deletion page. Keep your own copies of important files before you delete an account or remove an upload.

Changes, availability, and access

Features and catalogue content may change. Maintenance, network faults, or service failures may interrupt access. Keep your own copies of material you need to retain.

We may restrict access or remove material if this is needed to protect the service, address a breach of these terms, or comply with the law. Where practical and permitted by law, we will give notice and a way to contact us about the restriction. You may stop using Lilt at any time.

Your legal rights

Nothing in these terms removes or limits consumer rights, statutory guarantees, or remedies that the law gives you and does not allow us to exclude. This includes any applicable rights to a refund or other remedy. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

A separate app store agreement may also apply when you download Lilt through an app store. These terms govern your use of Lilt’s service and do not replace your rights under that agreement.

Updates to these terms

We may update these terms as the service changes. We will show the update date on this page. For material changes, we will provide notice and request agreement where the law requires it. Changes do not remove rights that arose before the change.
