Privacy Policy

Lilt lets readers move between ebooks and audiobooks. You can use the reading library without creating an account. Author Studio requires an account so authors can upload manuscripts and create audiobooks. We do not sell personal information or use it for advertising.
Information stored on your device
Your reading position, theme, text settings, playback speed, and notification token are stored locally on your device. Removing the app may remove this information.
Network services
Lilt connects to our service to load the book catalogue, book text, and sentence-level audio. Our hosting and content-delivery providers may process basic technical information, such as IP address and request metadata, to deliver and protect the service. Lilt does not maintain application-level request logs containing your IP address.
Author Studio accounts and uploads
When you create an Author Studio account, our authentication provider, Clerk, processes your account information such as your email address and name. We use this information to authenticate you and associate your projects with your account.
If you upload an EPUB or PDF, we store the file and its technical metadata so we can process your manuscript and generate the audiobook features you request. Your project text, narration prompts, generated samples, and generated audiobook audio are stored to provide and manage those features. Do not upload material unless you have the rights to use it.
We use Google’s Gemini text-to-speech service to generate Author Studio audio when you ask us to do so. The selected text, prompt, voice, and model settings are sent to that service solely to produce the requested audio.
Delete your Author Studio account
You can delete your Author Studio account from the Author Studio dashboard in the Lilt app. Deletion permanently removes your account, uploaded books, manuscript text, prompt history, and generated audio. You can also request help at william.galebach@gmail.com.
Notifications
If you choose to enable reading reminders, Apple and Expo process a device notification token so notifications can be delivered. Lilt stores that token locally. You can disable notifications at any time in iOS Settings.
Children
Lilt and Author Studio are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
